Cat Mayor STUBBS

About Cat Mayor

Stubbs is a community-driven meme token on Base, inspired by the real-life legend of Stubbs, the tail-less cat who became the honorary Mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska. In 1997, after local voters rejected the human candidates, Stubbs rose to fame as a write-in mayoral figure and became one of the most recognizable animal mascots in internet and pop culture history. For nearly twenty years, Stubbs represented Talkeetna from Nagley’s General Store, attracting global media attention and turning a small Alaskan town into a tourist destination. His daily ritual of sipping catnip-infused water from a crystal glass became part of his public image and added to his lasting charm. The Stubbs token brings this story to the Base ecosystem as a cultural meme asset built around humor, nostalgia, community participation, and the legacy of an unlikely mayor. The project aims to grow an engaged holder community through social storytelling, meme culture, creative campaigns, and consistent brand development centered on the character of Mayor Stubbs. Stubbs is not positioned as a utility token or financial product. It is a meme coin created for entertainment, community building, and cultural expression within the Base network.
